I've just returned from a seven day cruise out of San Juan. Royal Carribeans Adventure of the seas was a great choice and Im glad we took the chance.  I can honestly say that RCCL really does leave you with the "wow" effect. I have three kids and we couldnt get everything done by the weeks end.  From shore excursions, endless white sand beaches, kids club activities, rock climbing, ice skating and dining as a family everynight or alone if we wished. We had a awesome time. Our room was a balcony, family stateroom with a king, a pullout and a rollaway. It was just fine and we all were comfortable.
